Christian Service/Family Life

Family Life hosts the following functions:

  • Annual Church Potluck Social in September
  • Lenton Luncheon in the spring
  • RCIA Reception after the Easter Vigil

Stewardship

We are a newly-formed committee with emphasis on promoting stewardship in our parish through the following: Stewardship of Sharing, Prayer and Service. This is done annually through our parish time/talent/treasure commitment pledges. We initiated a new activity with our “Stewardship Fair” to enlighten parishioners on some of our many activities/committees within our parish, with an invitation to join or become involved. Other activities of our commission include bulletin blurbs, flyers, prayer cards, etc. Future projects may include food bank donations, coat drives, etc.

We have no set schedule for meetings, but meet and plan on an as-needed basis.

Respect Life

Supporting life from conception to natural death.

Respect Life commission is more than the issue of abortion.

It also includes:

  • Capital punishment
  • Suicide
  • Domestic Violence
  • Rape
  • Care for the elderly and homeless
  • End of life care
  • Care for the sick
  • People with disabilities
  • Treat others with passion and compassion

Evangelization

The Evangelization Committee is responsible for reaching out to St. Mary Queen of Angels parishioners.  Members welcome new parishioners and encourage them to join and to participate in parish activities.  Committee members also host hospitality events after Sunday mass.
